A model 1858 sabre for officers,of the 1st Brandenburg Dragoon Regiment Single edged,Damascus steel blade with fullers and a Pandour point. Brass hilt with remnants of gilding,two guard bars on the obverse side,languets,Eagle's head pommel. Sparingly cut ornamental designs on the grip back plate. Rayskin grip cover with double wire winding. Steel scabbard with brass bands,two suspension rings. Length ca. 95 cm. Evidently,the 1st Uhlan Regiment also carried this type until ca. 1900.
