Babb, superintendent andtreasurer; G. A. Babb, assistant superinten-dent and treasurer. Its capitalization is$588,000 stock issued and $415, and undivided profits. Its line of products now includes machin-ery blanketing for all purposes. Buildingsand machinery have been expanded till atthe present time the Knox Woolen Com-pany has facilities of the most modern andup-to-date character. The trade territoryof this firm includes not only all portions. :4 7 of Knox Woolen Company, Camden, Maine Many obstacles vfere encountered, someon account of the difficult nature of theproduct they had undertaken to manufac-ture, others from their inability to obtainthe proper machinery for the pupose. Muchof the latter had to be designed and builtby themselves; and other difficulties were atlength overcome by persistency and Yankeeingenuity. Messrs. Bulkley, Dunton & Company ofNew York were appointed selling agentsand have continued in this capacity for morethan fifty-seven years. Johnson, Fuller &Company continued in business until 1872when additional capital was needed to carryon the increasing business, and a corpora-tion was formed called the Knox Wooleni-ompany. In I 880 Mr. Fuller severed his connectionwith the Knox Woolen Company and took of the United States but several foreigncountries, principally Japan, Norway, Swe-den and Finland. And though the f
