Male reproductive anatomy, artwork. This sagittal section through the male pelvic region shows the route (purple arrows) by which male sex cells (sperm) from the testes (red) leave the body. They pass along the vas deferens, the tube passing over the pubic bone. Sperm mixed with fluids from the seminal vesicle (upper right) and the prostate gland (pink, below bladder) forms semen, which exits the body through the urethra (lower left), the tub passing through the penis. The bladder stores urine, which also exits through the urethra. At right are the anus and rectum, the final part of the digestive system.
