Each is paralleled for 2500 ft. in the center ofthe bridge with a 500,000-circ. mil feeder, tapped in atfrequent intervals. A 1,000,000-circ. mil feeder cross-connects these auxiliary feeders and leads to the powerplant near by. The feed wires are exposed and arestrung on the cross beams of the bridge, being supportedon G. E. rack-type switchboard insulators. The trolley wire is mounted on spring-type OhioBrass hangers spaced from 10 to 12 ft. apart. Theseclamp the wire loosely to permit the motion resultingfrom expansion and contraction. The troughs are ofhardwood, securely bolted together and either clampedfirmly against the concrete roof or suspended from thesteel
