Foam fire extinguisher. Pressurized cylinder containing foam for use in extinguishing a fire. The origins of a fire determine the extinguisher to use. This extinguisher is suitable for use on fires involving flammable liquids, or solid materials such as wood, paper and textiles. The Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) forms a blanket over the fire, smothering it. This fire extinguisher is labelled with UK and European safety standard symbols, and is marked for use on Class A and B fires. For fire extinguisher types, see C014/6960 to C014/6965.
