The Queensboro Bridge is a double cantilever bridge spanning the East River from Manhattan to Queens via Roosevelt Island. It was competed in 1909, at a cost of $18 million and 50 lives. It has 10 lanes (4 upper and 6 lower). Rising on the Manattan Waterfront, south of the bridge, we see the United Nations General Assembly Building. A View from the stern of a Circle Line Cruise Boat returning to Pier 83 from a visit to the Queensboro Bridge in the background of the shot.
