Leading the charge in promoting Canadian beef as meeting that criteria, is the Canadian Beef Export Federation (CANADA BEEF). The federation was only officially incorporated in April, but its roots go back to the easing of Japanese quota Canada Beef 4^ The Canadian Beef Export Federation (CANADA BEEF) logo features a black silouette of a beef animal with blue mountains in the background. Canada Beef is written below in red with a red maple leaf. "The industry saw that a co-ordinated approach would be the best one to promote their product in the international marketplace. CANADA BEEF's formation followed years of analysis, studying the activities of major competitors, market research in Japan and investigating other offshore markets," says Wong.
