Meet Coast Guardsman Robert L. Vollten, Seaman First Class, of Bethesda, Maryland, who is adorned with the loot of a successful Pacific invasion. The "So Solly" grin is Vollten's; the hat, the specs, and the flag were once the property of a Jap, now scratched out of the war.
