Banzai and Yo Ho! I'm on My Way to Tokyo. This pretty pinup of a toothy, eye-glassed samurai, who drapes the rising sun about his lean loins, is not a natty Nipponese warrior, but just a Yankee boy who made good at Saipan. Meet Coast Guardsman Robert L. Vollten, Seaman First Class, of Bethesda, Maryland, who is adorned with the loot of a successful Pacific invasion. The "So Solly" grin is Vollten's; the hat, the specs, and the flag were once the property of a Jap, now scratched out of the war.
