A woman is seen watching the walker passing by with placards in support of them behind her. The Dodentocht ("Death March") is a long-distance march of 100 kilometers organized annually in Bornem. Participants have 24 hours to finish. It began in 1970 with 65 participants and now grown into an event with over 13,000 hikers from many countries.
