Hot water is thus supplied at once and in any quantity. With the closingof the faucet, the flow of water ceases, and the gas is automatically cut off. Thegas supply is further regulated by a thermostat, so that the flame is reduced whenthe water leaving the heater reaches the required temperature. One cubic foot of gas per gallon of STEAMING HOT WATER—as much oras little as may be needed—and delivered immediately. This type is connected directly to the circulating hot water boiler suppljangthe house system, and is lighted when hot water is needed. Hot water may bedrawn in a couple of minutes, and the heater is left in use only as long as the serviceIs required.
