In February, 1897, two cases of steel fragments in the vitreoushumour were brought before the Ophthalmological Section of theCollege of Physicians, Philadelphia, by Drs. Oram Eing andHansell. The latter gentleman mentioned another instancecommunicated to him verbally by Dr. de Schweinitz, who founda foreign body by the rays, and afterwards extracted it bythe Hirschberg magnet.
