Space shuttle Discovery launch. Discovery launching from Launch Pad 39A at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida, USA, at 06:21 EDT on 5th April 2010. This was the launch of mission STS-131 that carried a Multi-Purpose Logistics Module loaded with supplies and equipment for the International Space Station (ISS). Discovery was part of NASA's Space Shuttle program. It flew 39 missions over a period of 26 years, being retired from service in March 2011. This mission landed at on 20th April 2010, making it Discovery's longest flight.
