After drawing the woodpattern, remove the shimming and be care-ful not to disturb the brass pieces as theyare to remain in the mould. Pour the cast-ing and when cool, knock the brass piecesout and you will have a perfect fitting dove-tail. The loose pieces should be brass, forif made in aluminum they may fuse to thecasting, which would make it impossibleto remove them.
