Cathedral "St. Alexander Nevsky" is Orthodox church in Sofia, e cathedral of Bulgarian Patriarch. The temple was raised with traditional offerings. Collected voluntary contributions totaling million gold lev foundation stone was laid with extreme solemnity of March 3, 1882, the temple was designed by Russian architect prof. Pomerantzev Alexander. The construction of the temple began in 1904 and was completed in 1912, with full implementation totals million lev. The church was consecrated on August 24, 1924
