DNA recombination protein. Molecular model of the protein RuvA, which facilitates DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) recombination at Holliday junctions. This recombination is a natural genetic process known as crossing over, and involves the mixing of two strands of DNA. RuvA binds to the DNA strands at the centre of the junction and helps them to migrate through it.
