The Tempsford Memorial is a war memorial in the small village of Tempsford in Bedfordshire, which was close to RAF Tempsford. The memorial is dedicated to the women who served as secret agents, as part of SOE, in occupied Europe during the Second World War along with the RAF crews who transported them plus personnel from allied secret services who were killed. The memorial bears the names of 75 known women agents of which 29 were arrested and 16 were sadly executed and 3 died of illnesses while imprisoned, plus 1 who committed suicide using a cyanide pill before being captured. The memorial was unveiled by The Prince of Wales in 2013.
