Four American women, Miss Ethel Comstock, Miss Ethel Dorrian, Miss Ella Carnahan, and Mrs. Herbert Adams Gibbons, are seen in this photograph taken on July 4, 1918. They were present at a review held in Massevaux, Alsace, Germany, in honor of the American troops of the 32nd Division. Miss Comstock was a Red Cross worker, Miss Dorrian a correspondent for the Newark Evening News, and Miss Carnahan and Mrs. Gibbons were workers. The photograph was taken by Corp. A. H. Hanson and passed by the censor on August 6, 1918.
