His son, Dalniel Roberts, was aprominent agriculturist of Monmiouth county, and for a number of years a hard-ware merchamt of Toms River. He has lived in retirement from active pursuitssince 1885 and resides with his son at Keyport. His wife, tlie late Eleanor V.(Arrowsmith) Roberts, was a daughter of Major Thomas Arrowsmith, whose miU-tar\- title was acquired througih his connection with *he Home Guards of Monmouthcounty.
