The frames are 5 in. wide,the minimum depth of top rail betweenpedestals is 5V2 in., minimum depth ofbottom rail between pedestals 4 in., anddepth of section at top of pedestals 6 Msin. The driving springs are of carbon steel,the equalizers of mild steel; the hang-ers, of 2-piece type, are of mild steelalso, and all pins and bushings are case-hardened.
