Peringuey's dwarf adder / Bitis peringueyii


Peringuey's dwarf adder is a sidewinding snake species found in the coastal desert areas of Namibia and Angola. These snakes are able to dig in the loose desert sand at high speed and wait in ambush, with only the eyes visible, for passing prey.
