Tower of grade 1 listed Elizabethan Wollaton Hall by Robert Smythson Nottingham Nottinghamshire east Midlands England Europe


Grade-one listed Elizabethan Wollaton Hall was built for Sir Francis Willoughby. The hall was said t have been paid for with coal from the Wollaton pits, owned by Willoughby. The hall was built between 1580 and 1588 and was designed by Robert Smythson, who also designed Hardwick Hall.
