Thepips must be kept shaded until the foli-age and buds are well drawn up, whenthe shade should be gradually removedto allow them to harden off as theflowers expand. Where there is no cold storage at handand valley is desired for the holidays,Berlin pips should be used exclusively, asthey are the only ones that come withgood foliage at that season.
