Retirement Ceremony for Col. Alden Saddelmire, New York Army National Guard on Friday May 3, 2013. Col. Saddlemire retired after 33 years in the Army Reserve and Army National Guard. His career included deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan and service as a battalion commander and 42nd Infantry Division and Joint Staff Assistant Chief of Staff for General Patrick Murphy, the Adjutant General, presented the Legion of Merit Medal.
