This photo was taken inside the Roman Catholic basilica in Rome known as St. Peter in Chains (San Pietro in Vincoli). Here is where Michelangelo's statue of Moses is as part of Pope Julius II's tomb. It was built on older foundations dating to 400s to house the chains (seen here) that were used on the Apostle Peter when he was imprisoned in are kept here in a reliquary beneath the main altar of the basilica.
