Detail of sculpture work on the Medieval Market Cross, Chichester.

Detail of some of the sculpture work on Chichester City's medieval market cross, built in 1502 out of Caen limestone. The building of the cross was ordered and paid for by Bishop Storey, so that the poor traders of the city could sell their goods in the shelter of the cross during bad weather.
