"Torre" (Tower) contrada (district) meal after the general Palio trial, the evening before the Palio, Siena, Tuscany, Italy The medieval centre of Siena is a Unesco World Heritage site and is also the location of the famous "Palio" horse race run twice each year (In July and August). Torre lies just to the south east of Piazza del Campo or Il Campo, and encompasses Siena's Jewish quarter and synagogue. Torre's symbol is an elephant with a tower on its back and its colours are crimson plus white and blue.
