Eggenberg Palace (Schloss Eggenberg) in Graz, Austria. The Palace is the most significant Baroque palace in Styria and is listed on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Sites. Schloss Eggenberg, was erected in 1625-56. Its owner: Hans Ulrich von Eggenberg was political advisor to Emperor Ferdinand II. The architect was Giovanni Pietro the Pomis, who also designed Ferdinand 11 burial site, the Mausoleum in Graz. Today, Schloss Eggenberg is used for cultural events and as a setting for films. It is also open to the public.
