KINGS BAY, Ga. (July 18, 2022) Cmdr. Justin Hardy (left) commanding officer of the Gold Crew and Cmdr. John Smith (right) commanding officer of the Blue Crew of the Ohio-class ballistic-missile submarine USS Alaska (SSBN 732), hold the Omaha Trophy during a ceremony held at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Georgia. The Omaha Trophy is awarded annually to Strategic Command units who demonstrate the highest standards of performance in the command’s mission areas, their role in global operations and the command’s continued emphasis on strategic deterrence.
