Garden view of Neil Dimelow's HOME panorama Manchester, Bruntwood Riverside Building reception area, New Bailey Street, Salford

Riverside, on the Salford bank of the River Irwell, is owned by Bruntwood and is a complex of five buildings, previously owned by the Manchester Evening News and built in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The panorama in the New Bailey Street reception area, seen here, is entitled HOME and is a unique illustration of Manchester by artist-architect Neil Dimelow. Bruntwood allowed him to record the city view from the 24th floor of City Tower, Piccadilly Gardens. Working in pencil, in three-hour sessions spread over a year, the artist drew the vista from Piccadilly to the Pennines, Whitworth Street to Winter Hill. The drawings were then scanned, digitised, scaled-up and coloured. Each of the 12 pieces of the panorama have been reproduced at over 2m high, allowing visitors to take in all of Manchester's characteristics of the city. The exhibition was first displayed in the Mall below City Tower for two months in March 2012. It has then toured a selection of Bruntwood's buildings in Manchester. Prints of HOME, in different sizes, are available to buy through the online Pop Up Gallery.
