The Boot, Histon Cambridgeshire. The Histon Giant was Moses Carter, who was born in 1801 and died in 1860. Moses was nearly seven feet tall and weighed over twenty three stone. He was a very strong man and in 1847 he carried a great stone from a ballast pit in Park Lane to The Boot inn which is still there.
