We have in this fine new strain a decided improve- ment on all former varieties of this popular flower. The plants grow about 2 feet high, are well branched and of compact symmetrical growth. The flowers are immense, measuring 4 to 5 inches across, with very broad overlapping petals, which form a perfect shaped flower of great substance. They contain all of the self-colors that are found in other Dahlias, and many of them are marbled, flaked, striped and blotched in a variety of styles.
