So we have gone over I he long list of varieties repeatedly and now offer under color classification what we consider the best of their respective classes. CtriiTURE. Sweet Peas should be sown in Irills as early as possible in spring- in rich, friable soil. Prepare the bed thoroughly, dig- ging in a quantity of well-rotted manure, if it can be done, making a furrow 1 to 6 Inches deep. In this sow the seed and cover 2 inches deep. As soon as the plants begin to show through fill in the furrow. This will secure a deep planting without the bad effects of deep covering of the seed at first, and so enable the plant to bloom continuously through the heat of summer. As fast as the flowers come into full bloom they should be cut off, for if the pods are allowed to form the plants will stop blooming.
