Above theheads of the effigies are two shields, the dexter bearingthe arms of the City of London. The sinister those ofthe Carpenters Company, (Arg.), a chevron between threeopen compasses (sa).1 The effigies are 17J> inches in height, the inscriptionplate measures 14^ by 7i, the rectangular plate bearingthe sons 10 by 6|, the daughters 5 by 6^, and theshields 5^ by 4^ inches.
