The wicked Snow Queen steps down from her throne with a backdrop of her face during a ballet performance of The Snow Queen (Snedronningen). It was held at the Tivoli Concert Hall,(Koncertsalen) in Tivoli Gardens during the Julemarked, (Christmas market) period in Copenhagen, Denmark. The Snow Queen is a fairy tale written by Denmark’s famous children’s author, Hans Christian Andersen. It was first published in 1844. Queen Margrethe of Denmark designed the ballet’s costumes and scenography.
