With the possibility of a high tide and onshore easterly winds the Environment Agency have issued a Flood warning for Whitby harbour and the River Esk for Friday the 13th of January 2017. Here a mechanical digger is delivering pallets of sand bags to the area outside Whitby pavilion to be used as a barrier against rising tide water.
