View of Borras anti-fracking camp from a 'bender', a rough shelter from branches and tarpaulin. Protesters established the camp on land belonging to Borras Head Farm in an attempt to prevent iGas from drilling an experimental test drill for coal gas and shale bed methane. The camp was evicted a few weeks later and established in a field opposite the site. The drill site lies above the mine system of Gresford Colliery which suffered a catastrophic underground explosion in 1934 which killed 266 men and boys of which only two bodies were recovered.
