The cost ofthis building was $110,000. Two new blocks on Rose Street facing the CityHall were erected last year by ex-Mayor Smith andMayor R. H. Williams. The two blocks were erectedsimultaneously and are of similar design, being facedwith red brick and white cut stone trimmings. Thelatter has at the present time under course of con-struction at the corner of Eleventh Avenue and Ham-ilton Street one of the finest departmental storebuildings in Western Canada. 51. The Kings Hotel on Scarth Street and the Was-cana Hotel on Hamilton are both buildings whichreflect great credit on the parties who erected them. The type of residence which has been erectedthroughout the residential portion of the city is an-other sure sign of the faith which the citizens ofREGINA have in the stability of their city, as doAlbert Court and two other fine residence apartmentsrecently erected.
