PLUMS The Japanese varieties are more at home in the South than any other type, and we recommend that they be planted in preference to any other type. The Shropshire Damson and Wild Goose are not Japanese varieties, but they are highly desirable for their preserving qualities and should not be over- looked in any planting. Ripens before the Japanese varieties. BED JUNE (Japanese). Medium size, dark red. Flesh light yellow. ABUNDANCE (Japanese). Large, amber color changing to red. BUBBANK (Japanese). Fruit large. Skin deep red overlying yellow ground. SHBOPSHIBE DAMSON. Well known. Purple skin, amber flesh. COMPASS CHERRY PLUM. Fruit small, bright red. Excellent for Bed June Plums JAPANESE PERSIMMONS In the Japanese Persimmon we have a combina- tion of beautiful foliage together with handsome fruit. The fruit is many times larger than the na- tive Persimmon. PRICES OF PERSIMMON TREES 3 to 4 feet, 70c each; $ per 10. 2 to 3 feet, 60c each; $ per 10. TANE NASHI.
