The center castingand the body bolster are secured together, and the upperand lower members of the bolster are held firmly to-gether so that any movement of parts is prevented. Thecenter plate is riveted to the bottom of the bolster, whilethe top member of the latter passes through the centerof the sills. The opening in the web is reinforced bybrackets, which are riveted to the center sill and pre-vent any backward or forward motion of the bolster,and since it is in the neutral axis of the channel, thisopening through the web
