A German military sword, circa 1600. A double-edged cut and thrust blade. The upper third has triple fullers on both sides and is stamped with "ANDREA FARARA". Iron knucklebow hilt with curved, S-shaped quillons. The grip cover has the original brass wire winding with braided ferrules. Flattened, cylindrical pommel.
