Somemeans, such as a slider or a multi-point switch, is generallyemployed to vary the numberof active turns in both the pri-mary and secondary of the loosecoupler. In keeping with modern prac-tice, which has done away withsliding arrangements in favorof rotary adjustments, the vario-coupler has become the stand-ard device for coupling theprimary and secondary circuitsof a receiving^ set.
