Photographer, Solayke Anwar visiting the tribe. OMO VALLEY, ETHIOPIA: MEET THE tribe putting spring florals to perfect use by crafting stunning decorative headdresses. In one image, two young Suri girls adorned cream and pink floral headdresses along with rust-coloured clay face paint as they posed for a snapshot together. In another, the women of the tribe banded together for a group shot ? all wearing co-ordinating tunics in various shades of blue and green. Tour operator and guide Solayke Anwar (34) from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, was in the country?s Omo Valley when he captured the unique snaps of the Suri tribe. The Omo Valley is home to eight tribes with a total population of around 200,000. Having been visiting the area for 15 years, Solayke is familiar with many of the tribespeople there. In 2016, a census recorded roughly 32,000 remaining Suri people. The tribe live near South Sudan ? a country which has been plagued by civil war for many years. As such, guns have found their way into Suri villages which the tribespeople now use as protection. / Solayke Anwar
