Menacée d'extinction en Ohio et au Wisconsin; menacée au f^ichigan; rare au Nebraska et en Virginie. REMARQUES: Il est surprenant que ce grand carex facilement identifiable soit resté inaperçu dans le sud de l'Ontario jusqu'en 1985, quand il a été découvert à deux endroits distincts.
