A Corinthian type helmet,6th/5th century Bronze. Compact skull with slightly offset and flattened calotte,indistinct brow gable and long,closely set cheek pieces,remains of a crest holder riveted to the calotte. Large eye cutouts,massive nose-guard(ancient repair)attached from the inside to the eyebrows by eleven rivets. Narrow flange at the nape. On either side a pierced hole for the attachment of a chinstrap,on the right side two affixed oblong sheets(ancient repair). Height cm,weight 788 g.
