The PROVOSTs HOUSE, IS ere&ed on the eaft fide of Grafton-flreet,near the College : The plan is chiefly takenfrom a Houfe in Great Burlington-ftreet, Lon-don, defigned by the Right Honourable RichardEarl of Burlington and Cork, and to be feenin Campbells Vitruvius Brittanicus. In pointof architectural elegance, it may be ranked inthe firft clafs of ftrudhires in this front is built of free-ftone, and is richlyembellifhed, in the firft ftory, by ificle andrufticated work, and in the fecond, by a rangeof pilafters in the Doric order, with their en-tablature, and pedeftals; between each of them,under the windows, are handfome balluftrades,and in the center, a Venetian window of theTufcan order ; the apartments are judiciouflydifpofed and elegantly decorated. The Offices,which are detached from the Houfe, and ap-pear as wings, are in a fine tafte, and verycommodious ; indeed,
