A steam locomotive No 218A Class C16 of the Zig-zag railway makes its way to the front of the stationary tourist carrying vintage carriages at Top Points for the return journey to Clarence near Lithgow in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia. The Great Lithgow Zig-Zag railway line was first constructed in 1869 to serve local people and to transport goods to Sydney. The line was part of the Main Western Line between Sydney and Perth. The Zig-Zag line operated by both steam and diesel locomotives is now a popular tourist attraction.
