Recruits of Golf Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, perform the fireman’s carry during a combat fitness test at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Sept. 20. This is part of the maneuver under fire portion of the event, which simulates carrying a wounded individual in combat. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Golf Company is scheduled to graduate Nov. 21.
