We take pleasure in calling attention to this beautiful plant, which has been universally admired and is acknow- ledged to be one of the very best herbaceous plants of recent introduction. The habit of the plant is free and graceful; it produces long, slender, much-branched stems, leafy to the base and all drooping toward the ends, apparently from the weight of the flowers and buds, although the flowers face so that none of their beauty is lost. It is marvelously free flowering, of large size, measuring from 2 to 2£ inches in diameter ; in color a rich golden yellow, which is rendered still more effective by the numerous yellow stamens and crimson anthers, and blooms continuously the entire season.
