He was subsequently transferredto the school at He was then detailed as StaffPilot to the 4th Artillery Aerial Observers School at Meucon,France. He was commissioned 2d Lieut., June 17, 1918, and washonorably discharged at Garden City, , Feb. 8, 1919. Institute of Technology,class of 1917. He entered the Service at the , Oct., 1917, andattended the Army Aviation School. He trained at Wilbur WrightField, Dayton, Ohio, and was there commissioned 2d Lieut., ,Signal Corps. On June 19, 1918, he was killed at Wilbur WrightField, when his machine collapsed.
