The main focus of the event was the military parade made up of contingents from local reserve forces, veteran associations and cadets, who marched from Dundee High School at down Reform Street to the city square. Community groups had provided music and dance to kick off the annual Armed Forces Day festivities at City Square at 10am. There was a salute taken in Reform Street by the lord provost, who was accompanied by Major General Riddell-Webster the governor of Edinburgh Castle and Vic Herd the president of the Dundee’s combined ex services association.
